A family of 3 who loves to travel, see new places, do new things and enjoy the world around us…. these are our trips and travels

Just a last thing… this is an “award free blog.”  I am so flattered (and so very grateful) that anybody would think it worthy of recognition.  I love writing new posts and reading other posts, but have to balance blog time with family and work commitments.  Award nominations need a lot of extra time, so unfortunately I can’t commit to that.  I am rewarded already that someone reads my stuff – so thank you!

  1. thank you for liking my post on biking and travel this morning and I’m thrilled that you enjoyed it despite your busy schedule. I too find it a challenge to combine work – family of 3 – blogging. But it feels so fulfilling when I actually get that chance. It’s the pleasure and fun really that matters and I wish you lots more . Tristane

  6. I am so curious as to how often you travel because you have posted about so many cities around the world. But your “About” section offers no answers. Really great blog.. I wish I had some background info though 🙂

  8. Hi,
Thanks for stopping by my blog. You’ve been to some amazing places. I couldn’t see if you had an Instagram account as well. I’m one of those people that enjoys other people’s travel photos especially of places I haven’t been to.

  10. Hello!

    Hope you are doing good.

I am James Martinenz from ReachFlare and we are mainly involved in the process of offering sponsored posts to prominent advertisers by engaging with blogs like yours. We are keen on partnering with some of the influential bloggers across different verticals and while browsing through the list, found your blog to be a good-fit to our requirement. We are interested in having a long-term association with your blog.

As such we would also like to know the following information.

  13. Hi there,

This is Saul at GPSmyCity, a publisher of travel apps on iTunes App Store and Google Play. I want to ask if you would be interested in turning some of your blog posts into mobile apps and sell them on iTunes App Store and Google Play. GPSmyCity has developed a technology for making it possible. There is no cost to you – we work with blogger on a revenue share basis.

If you wish to learn more about this opportunity, please reply to my email (sault at gpsmycity dot com) so I will send you additional information.

    Best regards,
    Saul Tarasoff

  15. Hey Joy, thanks for stopping by my blog..! I read through some of your posts, and it was lovely to read your stories. Happy traveling!

    • Happy New Year Hilary! Hope you and your family are all well.
Thank you so much for checking in and for thinking about us – I really appreciate it. I have taken a bit of a break from the blog for the last couple of months. I’ve actually come to the end of 18 months of treatment for breast cancer, having got through it all very well right at the end my body just seemed to say it had enough and I needed rest!
All is good though, things have gone well and although it has been a tough time we have managed lots of lovely days out and family experiences – hopefully we can pick up with that again very soon.
I may write about my whole experience sometime – struggling really with putting it all down as I kept the whole thing very private and only told immediate family members. However I figure it may help someone somewhere at the start of this process to see there can be light at the end of a very long tunnel!
Again thank you so much for getting in touch, it has made my day. Hopefully I’ll be back in the not too distant future writing and reading!!

      • Thank you so much for getting back with me. I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been unwell. Unfortunately I have a number of close friends who have gone though the same and I know it’s not easy. I’m impressed you kept up your blog through much of it and it seems your spirits. It sounds like you’re on the mend, thankfully! I’ve always enjoyed your posts and missed you. I’m so glad you wrote back. I look forward to them returning when you’re ready…

I understand feeling private about your health, but if you do decide to write about your experiences I’m sure people will appreciate and benefit from that too. It’s always nice to know you’re not alone out there isn’t it? I’ll check in again soon. Sending ❤️
